Katie Van Gent

Katie is a solicitor at R.A. Solicitors with a particular interest in parenting matters, child protection and criminal law. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2026 after completing her law degree at Griffith University.

Before her admission, Katie spent four years as a law clerk in criminal and family law firms from 2021. That time gave her a thorough, hands-on understanding of how matters progress through the courts, and of the pressure clients are often under when they walk through the door. She brings that experience to her practice now, giving clients clear, practical advice and steady support.
