About us

Legal advice backed by years of practical experience

R.A. Solicitors is a boutique law firm helping people with child protection, criminal, family, domestic violence, traffic, wills and estate matters.

We have operated across South East Queensland since 2009, with offices in Logan Central, Beenleigh and Ipswich. Our team works with clients through difficult and often time-sensitive legal matters, from the first conversation through to court representation.

Serving South East Queensland since 2009

The firm has grown from its long-standing Logan Central office to additional locations in Beenleigh and Ipswich.

While the firm has grown, many of the people behind it have stayed. Several team members have worked with R.A. Solicitors for more than a decade, bringing consistency and a strong understanding of how the firm's matters are handled.

Today, we assist clients from Logan, Beenleigh, Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

Our values

Clear communication

We explain what is happening, what your options are and what needs to happen next.

Respect

We listen without judgement and take the time to understand the circumstances behind your matter.

Responsibility

We take deadlines, court dates and the details of your matter seriously. Our team works carefully to keep you informed as things progress.

Continuity

Where possible you deal with the same people from start to finish, rather than explaining your matter again to someone new.

Speak with our team

Not sure which area of law your matter falls under?

Tell us what has happened and we will let you know whether we can help, which part of our team handles it and what the next step looks like.

Principal and Director

Justin Ashcroft

Justin Ashcroft is the Principal and Director of R.A. Solicitors. He has practised in child protection for 19 years and has represented parents, grandparents, family members, foster and kinship carers, and young people at different stages of the Child Safety and court process.

Justin is also an accredited Separate Representative, as is Associate Finlay Weston. When appointed by the Court, a Separate Representative acts independently of the parties, not for a parent and not for the Department, to help the Court consider a child’s best interests and the orders that may be required.

The team behind your matter

Your matter is handled by solicitors who work in that area day to day, supported by an office team who know where it is up to.

That continuity means you are usually dealing with people who already know your matter, rather than starting again with someone new.
